Combo Crush

Developed by 5A Inc.

5A Inc. is a development agency that has just released a new game called Combo Crush. The point of this game is similar to Cards Against Humanity — create the most entertaining card combination and you win points. Whoever has the most points at the end of the round is the winner. Combo Crush adds another element to the game though: the ability to guess the judge’s selection for the round and earn more points. The game serves as a fun way to make creative combinations of contexts and activities, and is a great way to virtually socialize with friends. Finally, players also have the option of participating in a timed bonus round for extra points where they can upload a media of themselves performing the chosen activity-context combination as well as view and react to other players’ submissions.

Gif 01: Redeem Rewards feature

Customize your avatar to inject your personal style into the game (Gif 01)! 5A also developed a game store that you can visit and buy new card packs following different themes like “Active” card pack that has activities and contexts requiring physical movements or the “Silly” card pack that features cards with funny activities and contexts. This adds a whole new dimension to the gameplay, allowing you to play cards that are related to your other interests and hobbies.

The goal of the game is to primarily serve as a break from work — an enjoyable activity that people can engage in with friends while remaining socially distant. Additionally, the game’s content is varied — but only to mask the activity-related content that is aimed to affect players’ thinking. The idea is that having to think more creatively about activities will lead players to replicate these thought patterns in other contexts (outside of the game), resulting in healthier break-taking behaviors. In short, Combo Crush is a fun game that you can play with friends that offers inspiration for ways that you can spend time outside of work.
